MISSION STATEMENT

As a candidate for Bridgeport City Council, I’m committed to delivering practical, responsive, and accountable leadership that strengthens our community and supports a thriving local economy. I will work to drive economic development by fostering new business opportunities while supporting our existing local enterprises. I believe in the responsible use of municipal revenue to ensure efficient city services, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and fiscal transparency. My focus on community improvement includes enhancing public spaces, supporting family, youth, and senior programs, while maintaining Bridgeport’s exceptional quality of life. I will champion policies that position Bridgeport as a business-friendly destination—attracting investment and creating jobs. As a lifelong West Virginian and a resident with deep ties to this community, I bring practical leadership and a collaborative spirit to city government—putting people first and building a stronger future for all.
PRIORITIES
Driver for Economic Development
  • I believe long-term economic growth starts with investing in infrastructure, supporting local entrepreneurs, and attracting industries that offer good-paying jobs.

  • I’m focused on building strategic partnerships with private sector leaders and regional development groups to bring new opportunities to our great city.

  • I’ll push for smart development that strengthens our municipal revenue, advances zoning policies, and invests in infrastructure improvements that make Bridgeport more attractive to employers and developers—without losing the character that makes our community unique.

Focus on Community Improvement
  • I want to see clean streets, safe neighborhoods, and public spaces that bring people together.

  • I’ll work to improve parks, invest in walkability, and support programs that keep our city looking sharp and feeling safe.

  • I’m committed to listening to residents and responding quickly to issues that affect their quality of life.

  • Whether it’s neighborhood revitalization or small infrastructure fixes, I’ll stay focused on what improves daily life in Bridgeport.

Responsible and Effective Use of Municipal Revenue
  • Every dollar we spend has to be justified. I support transparent budgeting, performance-based planning, and holding spending to results.

  • I’ll push for regular financial reviews and public reporting so taxpayers can see exactly where their money goes.

  • I believe in prioritizing core services—public safety, infrastructure, and maintenance—before anything else.

  • I’ll make sure we focus on high-impact projects, not just what’s popular or politically convenient.

Promotion of Bridgeport as a Business-Friendly Destination
  • I want Bridgeport to be known as a place where businesses don’t just survive—they grow.

  • That means cutting red tape, offering consistent support, and making it easier for companies to invest here.

  • I’ll work to promote our strengthslocation, workforce, and livability—to attract new business and retain the ones we have.

  • When we support our local business community, we grow jobs, strengthen our economy, and keep Bridgeport moving forward.
